OUR AIMS

Raise awareness of disability psychotherapy in Ireland

​

Provide training opportunities for clinicians wishing to work psychotherapeutically with people with disabilities.

​

Provide continuing professional development events and specialist clinical supervision for clinicians working psychotherapeutically with people with disabilities.

​

Create a network of peer support for professionals working therapeutically within the field.

​

Advocate and lobby for access to therapeutic treatments for people with disabilities.

​

Collaborate with disciplines of psychotherapy, psychology and psychiatry, their training bodies and accrediting bodies, to work towards representation of disability psychotherapy within core training.

​

Development and dissemination of research into the efficacy of psychotherapy for people with disabilities.
